Root Canal Treatment Marietta
We Remove the Infection to Save Your Smile
Tooth pain can be the result of sinus congestion, facial trauma, a cavity, or sensitivity. While most cases can be addressed with general restorative treatment (i.e., dental filling, dental crown, etc.), some situations require a more complex approach. When pain forms inside a tooth, root canal treatment is often recommended. Dr. DeShetler and our team of professionals will discuss the details with you so that you have nothing to fear as we work to save your smile. Call us today if you have persistent tooth pain that needs further examination.

What Happens During a Root Canal?

Our team will make sure you are at ease from the moment you arrive. If necessary, we can use The Wand to make the injection of local anesthesia more comfortable, effectively numbing your mouth before we begin treatment.
Dr. DeShetler will then make a small opening in the crown and clear out unhealthy tissue and remove the infected pulp before sanitizing the space. He will then fill it with gutta-percha to restore the structural integrity of your tooth. Placing a filling over the opening to seal it off from reinfection, we will craft a customized dental crown and secure it in place. This will ensure maximum protection as the tooth heals.
