Advanced Dental Technology Marietta
State-of-the-Art Technology for More Efficient Care
Dentists who incorporate cutting-edge technologies into their offices often find that patients appreciate the improved accuracy, efficiency, and comfort these devices provide. This is certainly true with Dr. DeShetler, as he recognizes the value of innovation in oral healthcare. Not only does he have more control over results by designing various restorations and prosthetics in-house, but he can also ensure a positive experience that patients will enjoy.
Digital Impression System

Creating custom restorations, like dental crowns and veneers, is faster and more comfortable for patients, thanks to our TRIOS 6 and Planmeca Emerald S digital impression system. We’ve traded in cold dental putty for a handheld scanner that captures high-resolution images in minutes.
3D Printer

Efficiency and customization are what our in-house 3D printer can provide, especially when creating dental implant surgical guides and nightguards. Instead of waiting for these items to be fabricated by an outside lab, Dr. DeShetler can reduce treatment timelines and ensure superior accuracy when placing dental implants or providing a solution to treat bruxism.
CAD/CAM Same-Day Dentistry

Dental labs often need weeks to create custom dental crowns and restorations. With our computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) same-day dentistry approach, we can dramatically reduce our patients’ treatment time and deliver fully customized results that are just as durable and long-lasting.
Computer-Guided Dental Implant Surgery

Computer-guided dental implant surgery combines 3D imaging and specialized software to make the placement process easier, more efficient, and more accurate than traditional surgery. There is no guesswork for Dr. DeShetler, only safe and reliable results that patients appreciate for a lifetime.
CT/Cone Beam Scanner

Our Planmeca CBCT scanner provides our team with an enhanced 3D view of a patient’s head and mouth. Its rotating arm captures hundreds of images in seconds, building a model that Dr. DeShetler can use to accurately plan complex treatments, like dental implant placement and root canal treatment.
Intraoral Scanner

Dr. DeShetler believes in educating his patients, not upselling or pushing treatment. This is why he uses the Mouthwatch intraoral scanner. The device shows our patients what is happening inside their mouth in real-time. The smallest areas of decay or damage can be viewed, allowing our team to explain what is occurring and why treatment is essential to avoid more serious problems.
Digital X-Rays

Less radiation, high-resolution images, and faster development make digital X-rays superior to traditional radiographs. With our Dexis system, we can produce scans and deliver diagnoses faster than before. This promotes greater efficiency so that each patient spends more time talking to the dentist instead of waiting for their X-rays to develop.
Soft Tissue Laser

When targeting bacterial accumulation within the gum tissues requires more intricate and precise care, our team relies on the Gemini Omni (Ultradent) soft tissue laser. Its concentrated beam of light eliminates diseased tissues while leaving all healthy areas untouched. It also cauterizes the gums so that minimal bleeding and swelling occur.
The Wand

Many patients struggle with the idea of needles. To alleviate worry and promote greater comfort, Dr. DeShetler uses The Wand. This patient-friendly digital device mimics a pen but administers a small dose of anesthetic before the needle touches the tissue. Most individuals never feel it, resulting in a better dental experience for everyone.
Cavity Detection System

Early detection is essential when it comes to cavities. To minimize the need for restorative treatment, Dr. DeShetler uses the Trios 6 cavity detection system. Using infrared light, the handheld device identifies the smallest areas of tooth wear and decay so that our team can take a proactive approach to address the problem area(s) before they worsen.
